The recipient of a bachelor's degree in agricultural business from the University of Minnesota, Jerry Westrom is an organic farmer who is certified by the United States Department of Agriculture. He grows crops at a farm just outside of his hometown of Isanti, Minnesota. An avid sports fan, Jerry Westrom counts the Minnesota Wild as his favorite National Hockey League (NHL) team.

Already a contender in the NHL's Western Conference, the future looks even brighter for the Wild. The team has a large pool of talented, young prospects who could one day make an impact at the NHL level, including recent draft picks Mason Shaw and Ivan Lodnia. In addition to four elite-level prospects (i.e., Luke Kunin, Gustav Olofsson, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Kirill Kaprizov), the team has a potential blue chip prospect in the 20-year old power forward Jordan Greenway.

A 6-foot 6-inch, 230-pound native of Canton, New York, Greenway was selected by the Wild with the 50th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. He recorded 26 points in 39 games the following season as a freshman with Boston University. Greenway improved upon those numbers the following year with 31 points in 37 games, while also recording eight points in seven games for the United States gold medal-winning team at the World Junior Championships. He was named an alternate captain at Boston University prior to the start of the 2017-18 season.
